For wedding cakes, booking at least 3 months ahead is recommended, and for booking a celebration cake, 1 month's lead time is advised, but some dates, particularly those in the summer, do book up months in advance, so when it comes to how much notice, really, the sooner the better! I can sometimes accomodate a short notice request, so if in doubt, please ask!
